Welcome Incoming New Families

The National PTA is the largest children’s advocacy group in the nation, and is directly responsible for the creation of Kindergarten classes, child labor laws, public health service, hot and healthy lunch programs, school safety, arts in education, and much, much more.  In California, our voices are 800,000 strong, representing each and every member’s voice when we lobby local, state and federal governments to advocate for more funding and protection for our children.  Please add your voice to ours by joining.

• Join: The GWHS PTSA is a membership driven organization with an annual membership fee. Please join or renew here. Your PTSA membership allows you to vote on critical issues which impact the GWHS Community. It’s just $10 to join/renew your membership. Students and staff are welcome and encouraged to join. We encourage families to “Sponsor a Teacher” for membership as well.  Please be sure to include your student name/grad year in the “Notes to Seller” box that appears toward the end of the membership payment portal window.  For questions email membership@gwhsptsa.com.

• Donate: An important way that you can support each and every student and staff at Washington is to donate by clicking here.  There are two donation options:  One time or monthly.  You can donate as little as $10 a month.  No amount is too big or too small, as every dollar makes a huge impact. With expected budget cuts for the 2022-2023 school year, donating online has never been more crucial.  Our immediate need in collecting funds is to provide essential equipment and supplies to students and staff to help ensure a high quality experience at school.  For questions email communications@gwhsptsa.com.

• Communicate: We are better together.  Please subscribe so we can more easily stay in touch and let you know about upcoming community wide meetings and events. Our group (hosted on groups.io) allows parents to connect with each other.  We hope you will feel more connected to the GWHS community as a result of this tool.  To join, please send an email to main+subscribe@GWHSCommunity.groups.io.
